How to setup ecommerce site with many suppliers by Happysacs
I have many different suppliers of products that we will be selling on our online store. Orders will come through our website and each individual supplier (small business, manufacturer, etc) will be shipping their own products. How do I set this up on Shopify? I want to:
- Automatically notify supplier of new orders
- automatically manage fees and payments to each supplier
- Emails to customer:
- Confirm order and send invoice
- Shipping confirmation
Are there any apps that take care of this? I don't necessarily want an app that I select all the products and click "add to website", but rather input my own suppliers and have this all taken care of.
If no app is available, what is the best way to go about this?
Essentially I'm drop shipping, with my own vetted suppliers.

Help, I have a lot of questions before I dive in! :) by truck
We are currently setting up a Shopify account as we use currently use another service but loving what Shopify can do so far. We would like to get more involved with our 'current' wholesalers and dropshipping so hope you can help me out.
1. We have a couple companies who dropship items for us right now but we have to use email (manually) everytime an order is placed. We just took images of their prouct and added it to our site.They will send us a bill at the end of every month to pay.
Is there a way they (the company drop shipping the product to client) can get a better way of orders and we would know if they received the order, processed and shipped? How will they get paid for shipping and for the product? If so I'd like to setup atleast 5 companies somehow...but they only deal with us.
This is huge for us as I would love a better system for these current dropshippers we use who know NOTHING about SHopify...
2. We advertise Amazon & Ebay (we do NOT have any products that we sell ourselves from these sites) on our website, is it possible to put some items or a feed from these companies to have them drop ship or no?
3. What is the top 3 best apps for me to choose a bunch of products to be added on our store to drop ship? Do I have or can I have more than 1 drop ship app if 1 company doesnt provide some products I need?

First off i dont recommend dropshipping on Amazon at all. They have very strict metric and it will get you thrown off. Unless your drop shipper is in the US and has very high standards.( either way its out of your control)
I think some dropshippers do send notifications of shipping and tracking information. But you have to ask them alot of questions and be very selective.

Im just not sure how our store will notify each dropshipper we currently have automatically when someone pays for an order? These are dropshippers who are not on shopify.
Curious how they will receive the money and so on, didnt know if there was a Shopify or similiar app that syncs all this up together somehow.

Dropship Women's clothing for 40 and over age group. by Susanne
I've refocused my current website because I could not find quality apparel for the age group I am interested in. I have scoured the Internet and I cannot believe the over abundance of cheap, low quality, apparel available for younger women. Clothing is geared towards a younger age group and many times clothes are sized substantially smaller.
I am wondering if maybe the finer quality apparel are found at trade shows? Or white label designs? It makes me wonder who the suppliers are for top shop, lulus.com and the like. Any feedback is appreciated.
So, I ask, if anyone knows of any dropshippers for this demographic, I would love to hear from you.

I am looking for sites who can share my products sourced directly from manufacturers. As we all know getting products directly from manufacturers will be much cheaper than from wholesalers but they usually need certain amount of MOQ (at lesat 100pcs in most case). My site just gets started up for months and I don't get that volume yet. I have good network and connections with many reputable manufacturers in Thailand and China. Both their prices and quality are very good. Those factories also have OEM capacity and make upon our designs. I don't intend to mark up the price, I just want someone can share my cost and avoid stockpile.

- It is possible to set up custom fulfillment options on your store for each of your suppliers. You can find our how to do this here- https://docs.shopify.com/manual/settings/shipping/fulfillment-services#custom
- That would notify your suppliers of new orders, however it wouldn't manage fees and payments, and shipping rates would need to be taken at the checkout and would be general rates for your full store. This means that you would have to manage this external to your Shopify store, and may need the help of an expert to set this up- experts.shopify.com
- There is an amazing app in the app store that may work for you! Its called Multi Vendor Marketplace, and allows you to add vendors and track everything. You are welcome to contact them by clicking on Get Support in the app store and finding out how they may work for you- https://apps.shopify.com/multi-vendor-marketplace
